The first set of Apple Intelligence features will be released with iOS 18.1. The last year’s iPhone 15 phones already use the same chipset, but they are also not capable of running these features. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max use the A17 processor with a 6-core GPU, while the standard iPhone 15 is equipped with an A16 processor with only a 5-core GPU.
The newly released AI features will require more processing power, which is currently only available in the Pro and Max versions of the iPhone 15. The iPhone 14 also only has a 5-core GPU, while the iPhone 13 has a 4-core GPU. Therefore, Apple Intelligence is not available on older iPhones.
